"Young at Heart"

A portrait like no other... I was overjoyed to get a request to do a portrait from someone for her very special friend who has an upcoming birthday. She asked if I can do not just any old portrait, but a fantasy one, like my girls I create. I can't tell you how happy that made me because it's the magic and the fantasy that is at the heart of all my drawings :)

Here is a girl who has a passion for all things magical... I called this piece "Young at Heart" as I wanted to capture her spirit on paper... that no matter how much time goes by, the butterflies and everything that makes her young and free will always be there, captured in this artwork forever.

What fun I had on this project, & dealing with this client was quite the Kindred Spirit herself!

  10. Hi there!
Dave (DH) and I have just been looking through your work - he is a big fan! You know, he just said that her would love a tattoo by you! Perhaps we can talk about that sometime - of doing something really similar to your profile girl (pure) with straight hair (as she looks like Kendra) in all black and white - he's never had one before, so I thought you would like to hear that!
This piece is so stunning!!! I LOVE all that color! and the crystal too - all the delicate features are so impressive! xoxo

  12. Thank you! Yes, but it IS funny - Dave can be my mirror too! I recently did a painting that he loved so much, he asked me to hang it on the wall - but that's the first time he's said that ever. Ever, Ever!
BUT he loves your style and thinks you're so talented (naturally!). I've already decided that I will order a drawing from you of Kendra and let him decide if he wants a tattoo of it in the future or not. Now, I have to think of a good excuse for a present . . . . xoxo
