I've had her completed for some time now, (see, girl in my header) don't know why I've not listed her till now...I suppose I'm not really happy with the way my art's been photographing lately...It looks just so much darker than the original drawing making me very unhappy :/ I really need to invest in a scanner!!
Anyway, have I mentioned I love drawing detail!? The eyes...I always put so much emphasis on the eyes...without emotion in the eyes, to me the piece would be meaningless. Later, I gave her a lovely delacate dress, little wings & long flowing hair incorporating a braid & just a touch of flowers....So... here she is; I've caller her *Afraid* she doesn't know what lies ahead of her. All of the fear in her eyes is because she's uncertain of her future & keeps looking back, wishing she could go back in time. But there's no turning back now...
Hi Joanna, this is beautiful! I love the details you put into your drawings, too. I can see the fear and worries in her eyes.
ReplyDeleteAbout photographing your work, have you tried taking the photo in natural day light? Not directly facing the light, but outdoor would be much better.
You are a beautiful artist, your work never fails to impress me xx
ReplyDeleteOh.she is amazing..i see the fear but i also see a tear about to trickle from her eye...hope its nothing too bad she is afraid of...xxx
ReplyDeleteohh wow!! your work is absolutely amazing!! i love everything about this fairy! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI'm always impressed by the emotion your drawings have. I love the details in her dress too. I also have problems getting good pictures, especially in the fall and winter. It is always gloomy here and I haven't perfected my photo box yet. Hopefully you will figure it out and be happy with your photos.
